Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our dynamic team. The QA Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This position involves developing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting bugs, and collaborating closely with the development team to resolve issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and ensure thorough testing.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts.
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

This is a performance-driven, remote position. You have to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with limited supervision.

What You Should Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Experience with testing web and desktop applications.
  • Proficiency in using QA tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Selenium, QTP).
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
  • Experience with performance and security testing.
