SQL Developer

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated T-SQL Developer with extensive experience in SQL Server development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database structures. This role requires a deep understanding of SQL Server, database design principles, and performance tuning. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Optimize and tune T-SQL code for performance and efficiency.
  • Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and constraints.
  • Collaborate with application developers to integrate databases with applications.
  • Perform data analysis and troubleshooting to resolve data-related issues.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through appropriate database management practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to database design and development.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SQL Server features, tools, and best practices.
  • Support database deployment and migration activities.

This is a performance-driven, remote position. You have to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with limited supervision.

What You Should Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in SQL Server development with a strong focus on T-SQL.
  • Proficiency in writing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Strong understanding of database design principles, normalization, and indexing strategies.
  • Experience with performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and SQL Profiler.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Familiarity with other database technologies and programming languages.
  • Knowledge of data modeling tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with database administration tasks such as backups, restores, and security management.
  • Certification in SQL Server (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) is a plus.
